LLMark
Introduction
Untreated metals are highly reflective to the CO2 laser wavelength. LLmark spray is a chemical solution that when applied to bare metals provides for high contrast (black) marking of metals by CO2 laser.
The LLmark solution is fast, safe clean and easy to apply. Application is by aerosol can, which provides for minimal waste and efficiency of use.
Suitable materials
For best results use LLmark on brushed stainless steel and mild steel. LLmark can also be used on polished surfaces and most other metals but with varying effect. It is not suitable for use on precious metals, aluminium or on surfaces that are painted, lacquered or coated in any way.
How it works
The intense heat of the CO2 laser marking process causes a thermal reaction of LLmark solution changing the colour from cream to black while at the same time creating a fusion of the product to the surface of the material. Areas that are not engraved remain unaltered. The resulting mark is both high in contrast, abrasion and chemical resistant.
