The Brentwood facility served us well for 8 years, however, with the phenomenal success of our Lotus product range we simply didn’t have the space to cope with the upsurge in sales.
At Basildon we had a ‘blank canvas’ to create a bespoke facility to provide us with sufficient space to store and service machines for current and foreseeable future demand.
The Basildon property is strategically well placed and of a prestigious quality. Its acquisition showed further proof of our confidence and ongoing commitment to strengthening our business in both current and new market sectors.
The new facility of 680 sq.m (7,300 sq.ft) hosts a very wide range of CO2 and YAG laser cutting, marking and engraving devices with two showroom areas amounting to 100 sq.m as well as significantly improved production, support, sales, warehouse and office spaces.
As well as increased workspace we added more staff and other resources.
With the extra space we were able to increase our stockholding of parts, laser tubes and even complete machines to be, as far as we are aware, one of the largest and most well stocked facilities of its type within Europe.
Therefore, delivery times for new orders of many models decreased from a few months to just a couple of weeks.
