The Underside Extraction (UE) kit was designed by Laserite in 2004 specifically to enhance the capabilities of the Trotec Speedy 300 (S300) Benchtop format laser cutting/engraving system.
The UE modification acts in combination with the Honeycomb Cutting Table (HCT) to improve edge quality, minimise Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) and prevent flaming during the cutting process by drawing fumes/air through the cut line at a very high rate. The UE modification has the added advantage of acting as a vacuum to hold flat thin materials that might otherwise warp during the cutting process.
This modification is only suitable where an exhaust to atmosphere extraction set-up is used. It is NOT suitable for use with a filtration unit.
